Agent Provocateur

Agent Provocateur Logo
The history of Agent Provocateur is as revealing as the edgy designs the company creates: As one-half of the company's founders, Joseph Corre is the son of Vivienne Westwood and music magnate Malcolm McLaren-no finer British fashion pedigree could be had.

By the time he was ten, Joseph was hanging out with the Sex Pistols and wore Westwood originals daily. All in all, just a typical cultural upbringing for a boy from South London, right?

Flash forward to 1994, where Joseph and co-founder Serena Rees had a desperate desire to resuscitate the state of women's intimates in Britain. Much of what the two had discovered about the style of lingerie in and around London appeared to be quite drab and predictable or outright tacky.

Inspired by the style and glamour of vintage intimates the pair uncovered from closed-down boutique shops of the '40s and '50s, Joseph and Serena started their inventive line of alluring lingerie with a single store in London's influential Soho district. With the impact of a missile striking its target dead center, the pair was on to something big.

Soon enough, celebrities espoused the virtues of Agent Provocateur intimates. Memorable ad campaigns ensued. Demand around the world became so manic, so insistent, the company expanded. Stores are now open in over ten different countries, with a flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York City. Store expansions offered the company an opportunity to expand the brand itself to other types of items outside of intimates, such as swimwear and sunglasses.

By offering a variety of items along with its signature intimates, there's no better time than now to explore the sexy confidence of Agent Provocateur.
